Connect your AI client to Entendre with the Model Context Protocol (MCP). The client can then review transactions, prepare reports and do accounting work in Entendre.

Add this server URL in the MCP or connector settings of your client:

API key

Use this method if your client supports custom headers.

Create a key in Settings → API in Entendre.
Add the server URL.
Save this header in the secure credential settings of your client:

Authorization: Bearer <api_key>

Firm API keys

Create the key in Firm Settings → API. Choose Specific clients and select one client. That client is the default client of the key. Use one key and one connection for each client. A key without a default client can use firm operations only.

Tools

Tool	Use
`list_directory`	Find the available API operations.
`read_file`	Read the inputs and usage of an operation.
`execute_code`	Run JavaScript that calls those operations to read or change data.

Each request uses your Entendre permissions. Review each proposed change in your AI client before you approve it.
