We launched three years ago with a belief: the way money moves was fundamentally changing, but the way it was being tracked was not. Stablecoins were the opportunity to redefine how businesses spend, earn, and transfer money, and we set out to make tracking that activity just as fast as the money itself.
AI was the unlock, a second tailwind in one of the largest industries on earth. While consumer adoption of digital money exploded, business and institutional adoption lagged behind, held back by legacy systems never designed for this world. Ripping those systems out would take years. But the teams we worked with, many already scaling to 9 and 10 figure volumes, needed solutions today.
The challenge was real. Multi-entity structures, hundreds of financial accounts spanning virtual accounts, wallets, exchanges, cards, subledgers, and bank accounts, all fragmenting the financial picture. We never wanted to build another rip-and-replace. We wanted to fix the actual problem, financial knowledge work, regardless of the systems finance teams were stuck with, didn't choose, or didn't have time to rethink.
The opportunity ahead is massive, which made this an easy decision. MoonPay's vision of a new financial operating system for value, stablecoin-first, with headless experiences, built for agents, and focused on institutional adoption, is exactly the direction Entendre was always headed.
As part of the acquisition, Entendre continues as-is for all existing and new customers, now with more resources, faster deployments, and deeper integrations.
